T-Mobile may have a secret plan to get a working Flash 10 plugin on their Android devices before anyone else. An embedded system company has been hired to port Flash 10 to the Android platform by a ‘global tier-1 carrier’.

T-Mobile would seem to be the likely ‘Global Tier-1 Carrier’ working with embedded systems specialists BSQUARE to get Flash 10 on their Android phones. It has exclusivity on the HTC Dream/G1 in the US and UK and is one of the few carriers with any experience of offering Android handsets yet.

BSQUARE’s press release doesn’t mention T-Mobile by name of course, although it does say that it has experience of porting Flash to around 40 devices via its acquisition of NEC America’s Adobe Flash Technology Consulting and Distribution business.

With the HTC Magic making the jump to rival carrier Vodafone, a Flash port could give T-Mobile an edge. Certainly, full-fat Flash 10 would be a briliant boost for any smartphone and will open the handset up to a wealth of rich web apps  and games.
