A new Tesla electric car, the Tesla S, is in the works, and this little spy shot shows just what you’ll get inside: what would appear to be a massive touchscreen instead of a dashboard.
Digg founder and general lucky so and so Kevin Rose has just been sent the leaked shots of the new Tesla S electric car, and sensational exterior aside, it’s just as cutting edge in the cockpit. Rose just snapped this shot of the inside of the new Tesla, and it’s packing what looks like an immense in car entertainment and navigation system where other cars would have rubbishy knobs and boring dials.
Our first thought was that this new Tesla appears to be running Windows on the touchscreen dash, but those menu bars don’t look quite right. It’s more likely Tesla has popped its own system in that’ll let you bring up maps or even manage the Tesla S’s electrics from your seat.
No official word from Tesla on the specs for the touchscreen dash, or a time frame for the Tesla S to park up on showroom floors, but we’ll bring you more when we get it.
