The MacBook Pro 17-inch was the highlight of the news-stuffed Apple keynote at MacWorld this year, and holding it in our trembling hands, we can imagine that Jonathan Ive and his team must be feeling pretty chuffed with themselves. It’s the Helen of Troy of desktop replacements, to coin a phrase.
The MacBook Pro 17-inch isn’t just a thing of beauty though. Inside are two Nvidia graphics cards, the option for a speedy 2.66Ghz or 2.93GHz Core 2 Duo chip and a 320GB hard drive or 128/256GB solid state drive.
We’re yet to test the MacBook Pro 17-inch battery for Apple’s claimed 8 hours credos, but we’ll snatch it cruelly away from the mains in just a bit and get the stopwatch going.
