Fallout 3 owners, it’s time to quit your bellyaching. Bethesda has fixed the game-killing issues that were ruining The Pitt DLC. It seems that the reason for Fallout 3 The Pitt DLC suffering so many hideous glitches was because of small mix up with the upload button. Yes, really.
A working version is now available on Xbox LIVE and you can re-download it and get back to your fully operational futuristic dystopian Pittsburgh.
The reason for the problems? Bethesda accidentally let the DLC become corrupted during the transferral to Xbox LIVE process. Oops. Probably should have disabled that Bit Torrent client before hitting ‘upload’, eh?
Yesterday, the developer yanked the Xbox LIVE DLC, and rectified the problem. If you have already downloaded Fallout 3 The Pitt, here’s what you need to do:
- Sign in to Xbox LIVE
- Go to Settings, System settings, then Memory
- From your HDD, pick the Fallout 3 section
- Choose Fallout 3 The Pitt then press A and choose ‘Delete’
- Go back into Games Marketplace and re-download Fallout 3 The Pitt DLC
- Resume extermination of wasteland nasties
Seems like an honest mistake after all.
