Apple’s new iPhone will be launched in June, according to the latest whispers from inside AT&T, bringing a slew of new features as well as better integration with mobile network’s own services. Want the juicy gossip? Read on!
The latest murmurs come from a tipster “pretty high up in AT&T’s food chain” to Boy Genius Report, and claim the new iPhone will debut in mid-June, and that one new iPhone a year is “becoming a tradition.”
According to the unnamed rumourmonger, the new iPhone will be much faster than the iPhone 3G and tie in with AT&T’s U-Verse service, letting owners control their PVR with play, pause, fast forward and rewind abilities. Kind of like Apple’s own Remote app for iTunes and Apple TV.
Faster 3G connections are also mooted for the new iPhone, with 7.2Mbps “being hinted at too.”
As ever, it’s all up in the air until Apple slams a launch date on the new iPhone, but what’s leaking from AT&T certainly tallies with our own expectations for the new iPhone based on iPhone OS 3.0. Keep it here for more wicked whispers as they reach our shell-like.
