Samsung N310 netbook launches

The Samsung N310 netbook has just been launched, and looks wise it’s a complete redesign on the current Samsung NC10: it’s got a 100% original shell that looks more than a little like a bar of soap! Read on to find out what we know about the Samsung N310 so far.

On the spec sheet, the Samsung N310 is nothing special, save for a claimed 11 hour battery life in the enhanced model. A 10.1 inch screen, 1GB of RAM, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, a 160GB hard drive and an undisclosed Atom processor all feature in the Samsung N310, but it’s the new design that’s got us leaning in for a closer look.

With rounded edges and pastel colours, the Samsung N310 harks back to the kid-friendly looks of the first Eee PC models, and closed, it looks more like a swimming float than a computer. Love it or hate it, it’s at least a change from the usual smudgy piano black and ivory white finishes on many netbooks.

Akihabara News reports the Samsung N310 will roll out worldwide “pretty soon”, so we’ll be sure to bring you more news on the Samsung N310 when a shipping schedule is made public, or we see the full spec sheet. Stay tuned.
