Google Chrome, Google’s internet browser, has just been released as a new beta, and the search giant claims the new Google Chrome beta almost doubles speeds compared to the original.

Although Google took Google Chrome out of beta late last year, it’s now launched a new Google Chrome beta with added features, and it needs your help testing them out.

The new Google chrome beta features include form autofill, full page zoom, and the ability to drag out tabs for side by side viewing, as well as speeds “almost twice as fast” as the original Google Chrome beta.

Opt into the beta channel for Google Chrome and you’ll get regular updates for the new Google Chrome beta with new features and speed improvements, though be prepared for plenty of bugs that need fixing too.

You can see the side-by-side tab feature in the new Google Chrome beta in the video below, so see if it’s enough to tempt you away from the new Firefox 3.1 beta 3. We’ll bring you more news on the new Google Chrome beta as it breaks.
