Garmin has just wheeled out the Garmin nuvi 465T, a satnav specifically designed for lorry drivers. It’s no gimmick either: read on to find out the features in the Garmin nuvi 465T that’ll keep you truckin’ on.
The Garmin nuvi 465T does all your usual satnav stuff we’ve come to expect: 3D mapping, Bluetooth hands free and speed limit warnings as well as traffic alerts. But loaded inside the Garmin nuvi 465T are some extra handy features for lorry drivers who spend all day rolling along the motorway as well.
The 4.3 inch touchscreen Garmin nuvi 465T will give extra warnings truck drivers need to take into account, like sharp turns, narrow roads and all important height restrictions. Should your truck break down, the Garmin nuvi 465T will list the nearest service stations capable of fixing an 18 wheeler too, and because truck drivers have to cover vast distances, it’ll automatically adjust its timezone when you roll in to another one.
The Garmin nuvi 465T is North America only at the moment unfortunately, but it’s due out Q2 so Garmin has plenty of time to announce a European version before Summer. We’ll keep you posted.
