LG Arena coming to Europe

UPDATE: The LG Arena could be coming as soon as March 27th. That’s the date one website is quoting anyway, along with contract details, so check it out.

The LG Arena was one of the more impressive phones we saw at the Mobile World Congress this year. The S-Class 3D GUI and swish multimedia functions piqued our interest, but the phone couldn’t be obtained in Europe for love nor money. Until now.

The LG Arena is the Korean manufacturer’s attempt at an all-out multimedia behemoth to rival the (whisper) iPhone. The phone comes with a 5 megapixel camera, 8GB of onboard storage (expandable to 40GB via sdCard) and a 3? WVGA display that is around four times sharper than the equivalent QVGA screen.

LG has just announced that Europeans will be able to buy an LG Arena as of later this month. No mobile operators have stepped forward to offer the phone as part of a contract bundle as yet, but anyone who likes that look of the LG Arena will be free to cough up £££s (or €€€’s) for an unlocked SIM-free handset.

The LG Arena will be available is silver or black titanium, pricing is still to be confirmed, but while you’re waiting why not gorge your eyes on our hands-on photo gallery?
