The Beatles: Rock Band game will, according to Dhani Harrison (son of George) feature “stuff that has never been heard, never been released.” The game is due to release on 9 September worldwide.
In an interview with Billboard Magazine, Harrison also says that The Beatles: Rock Band, featuring songs from throughout The Beatles’ career, is “totally historically accurate” and that he was influential in getting the game “project to Apple” (The Beatles’ corporate organisation).
It is still unknown whether The Beatles: Rock Band will essentially just be Rock Band, but with Beatles tunes. Or whether the gameplay will be altered in any way, to fit with the genre-spanning and often psychedelic music of the band.
