The MSI Wind Nettop C120, MSI‘s new budget micro-desktop machine, has just started shipping, and while it’s not on sale in the UK just yet, the pricetag gives us cause for hope: it’s almost a third less than the new Asus Eee Box! Read on for the lowdown.
The MSI Wind Nettop C120 is a dinky little PC in the same vein as the Mac Mini, Dell Studio Hybrid and Asus Eee Box, and MSI has just announced it’s going on sale in the US. Here’s what’s got us excited though: the MSI Wind Nettop C120 only costs $319, or around £227!
For that money, inside the MSI Wind Nettop C120 you get Wi-Fi, a 1.6GHz Atom processors, 1 gig of RAM (You can double up if you fancy), 7.1 sound high quality sound output, a 160GB hard disk and a DVD burner. That and the MSI Wind Nettop C120 runs at an astonishingly low 35W, so you should see your leccy bill fall of a cliff, even with constant use.
Granted, the latest Eee Box comes with HDMI output on top of this, but with an RRP of £310, is it worth the trade off? Ponder that one while we go and chase MSI for a UK release date for the MSI Wind Nettop C120. Stay tuned.
