The new Facebook homepage has begun rolling out, and its new Publisher bar could revolutionise the social network. Has Twitter had its day in the sun? Is Mark Zuckerberg about to crush the San Francisco start up once and for all? Read on for the lowdown.
We told you about the new Facebook homepage incoming last week, but now Facebook has announced that the new homepage is rolling out to all of Facebook’s 175 million plus users over “the coming days”.
The new homepage shows happenings from your network of friends in real time, showing you what your friends upload as they upload it, and lets you filter whose activities you see, but the feature that’s got everyone buzzing is the new Facebook Publisher bar, which lets you publish your status, links and multimedia to your friends, just like a Twitter client.
The roll out began last night, but if you’ve still not got it yet, you can see what the new Facebook homepage looks like in our gallery below. Want to know what Facebook is playing at? Find out why the Facebook wants to crush Twitter, and you’ll get the idea.
