Fancy an alarm clock that says sorry for snatching you from your slumber by making you breakfast? You might want to read on then: this one even makes you a hot drink to start the day.
We don’t need DAB digital radio in an alarm clock. We don’t need digital photo frames either. What we need is an alarm clock that rustles up our morning meal, and this concept contraption from kitchen appliance company De Dietrich does just that.
Called Wake Up, this Wallace and Gromit alarm clock has reservoirs for juice and water, but the real innovation is the toaster tray. Put your bread in when you go to bed and it’ll pop out, nice and burned with the alarm clock’s buzzer.
This outlandish alarm clock also brews up hot chocolate and coffee, and while there’s no timer that snatches a tea bag out after a set amount of time, we’re sure it’s not beyond the question somehow.
Unfortunately the Wake Up breakfast alarm clock is just a concept at the moment, but you can browse the gallery below, complete with translations courtesy of Yanko Design, while we go and drum up some venture capital funding for it.
