UPDATE: want a close up look at the new iPod shuffle? We’ve got all the official photos. Take a peep!
Apple just whipped a surprise new iPod shuffle update out of the bag. It’s a completely new design, smaller than ever, with more storage and all-new speech technology to let it say tracknames out loud!
We really weren’t expecting this today, but it’s a fantastic surprise: a new iPod shuffle with a complete redesign and 4GB of storage inside.
Apple says the new iPod shuffle can now hold 1,000 songs, and with new VoiceOver technology it’ll speak the names of tracks and artists too.
The new iPod shuffle works with Apple’s latest headphones, complete with volume keys, while the remote button uses double clicks to skip ahead a track, tripple clicks to skip backwards, and single clicks to play and pause the music. Holding the button down kicks VoiceOver into action.
The new iPod shuffle is smaller than a Yale key too, at just 45.2mm high. It’s also just 7.8mm thick. Available in black or silver, it’s on sale now for £59.
- Thanks for the tip Jon!
