Finished the first GTA 4 expansion, The Lost and Damned, yet? You’ll be on the lookout for more GTA 4 DLC then. Fortunately, the wait may not be too long; the as-yet-unnamed Second Episode is due out this year, by October 31st at the very latest.

While GTA 4 creator Rockstar hasn’t let any official details slip, parent company and GTA 4 publisher Take Two has released an earnings announcement that clearly states ‘GTA 4 Second Episode Xbox 360’ would be out by the end of the current financial year. That’s October 31st according to Take Two’s calendar.

Expect rampant speculation to start mounting over what the next instalment of GTA 4 DLC will include. The Lost and Damned dropped original protagonist Niko Bellic in favour of hardened biker Johnny Klebitz and his gang of chopper-riding ne’er-do-wells. Will the Second Episode tread more familiar ground or usher in yet another new star? Might it be the first GTA instalment to feature a female main character? We’ll have to wait and see.

The same earnings report also confirmed Beaterator, Borderlands, Don King Boxing, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Mafia II, Major League Baseball 2K9, NBA 2K10,NHL 2K10, The BIGS 2 and Red Dead Redemption for this year. Bioshock 2 is on the list as well, but controversially failed to confirm which platforms it’s heading for. Are PS3 owners in for a nasty surprise?
