Bioshock 2 has been getting gamers in a frenzy, eager to see what the new sequel, Bioshock 2: Sea of Dreams has in store. One of the hottest rumours was that Big Sisters would replace Bioshock’s iconic Big Daddies, and the latest cover of US mag Game Informer has now confirmed that Big Sisters will indeed be a major part of the new game.
However, it looks like Bioshock 2 won’t completely reverse the Big Daddy, Little Sister relationship. Instead the new Big Sisters carry a slightly more mature version of the same Little Sister, and not an adorable, miniaturised Little Daddy in a tiny antique diving suit. Shame. We guess they are still supposed to be scary though.
The new Big Sisters are believed to be faster and more agile than their Big Daddy predecessors. Bioshock’s iconic enemies weren’t exactly slow off the mark though, so if the new Big Sisters turn out to be even quicker and more dangerous, Bioshock 2 could be an extremely demanding game. And that’s not necessarily a problem – if there were any bad words to be said about Bioshock, it’s that it was a tad too easy.
According to the mag, Bioshock 2 will also feature a return to the underwater dystopia of Rapture, where more Big Sisters lie in wait.
