Samsung has just pulled the covers off the Samsung Q1EX tablet, a refresh of the Samsung Q1 touchscreen UMPC from a few years ago. It looks lovely, but there’s a lot more competition this time around: it’ll have to take on the entire netbook market.
The Samsung Q1EX tablet, the “next generation UMPC”, has just been put up for pre-order on the Samsung US site and it’s got specs to match the Eee PCs and MSI Wind, undisputed champions of the new netbook world.
Inside the Samsung Q1EX tablet there’s a 7 inch, 1024×600 touchscreen, Windows XP, a 1.2GHz processor, 60GB HDD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 4.5 hour battery. The Samsung Q1EX tablet is also rumoured to tote GPS, although Samsung has yet to confirm this.
The Samsung Q1EX tablet will set you back £525 ($749), but is it really what you want to see in a mobile internet device? Would you rather use one of the new range of convertible tablet netbooks? Either way, have a browse through the Samsung Q1EX gallery below and be sure to give us your thoughts!
