Panasonic Z1 priced

UPDATE: The Panasonic Z1‘s ETA is now public. Find out when you’ll be able to get your hands on one!

The Panasonic Z1 plasma TV may only be one inch thick, but it’s got a much bigger price tag – it’s just been priced and the cost makes even the Philips Cinema 21:9 look disposable. Read on to find out how much the Panasonic Z1 will set you back.

The Panasonic Z1, Panasonic’s 54 inch plasma packing Neo PDP technology, looks set to be one of the best tellies of 2009 when it ships. For those who can afford it that is: the Panasonic Z1 will cost £4,200 ($6,000).

To put the Panasonic Z1′s price in perspective, while it does pack 1080p and wireless HDMI, the Philips Cinema 21:9 costs £3,550, and the world’s first OLED TV, the Sony XEL-1 costs £3,489.

Having seen the Z1 in action, however, we’ve been blown away by it. The Panasonic Z1′s shipping date has yet to be confirmed, but we’ll be impressed if you manage to save up enough for a Panasonic Z1 by the time it lands. If you figure out a way, be sure to let us know.
