The LG Renoir is a decent touchscreen smartphone with lots going for it – but rather let down by a lack of apps and a pitiful amount of internal storage. LG has just announced an upgrade to the Renoir – check after the jump to see what’s new.
The LG Renoir impressed us when we saw it back in Novemember. It had a lovely screen with basic haptic feedback, an 8 megapixel camera and lots of multimedia goodies like built-in DivX/Xvid support and powerful speakers.
What let the LG renoir down, in our opinion, was the tiny 70MB of internal storage. Sure, you could whack a microSD card in the side but out of the box there was only room to take a few snaps and listen to half an album.
LG has realised the error of its ways and announced it is reissuing the LG Renoir as the LG KC910 Renoir 8GB Black. The phone is almost completely identical to its predecessor apart from two factors – an unwieldy name and Eight whole GB of internal storage. The microSD slot is still in place, too, so you can stuff more memory in to your heart’s content. Much better, LG, much better.
