The Viewty II – LG’s follow up to the slightly underwhelming answer to the iPhone is due to be unveiled this week. LG has been giving demos of the phone, officially dubbed the GC900, behind closed doors but has so far stopped any leaks.

Until now. The first official spec list has slipped from LG’s grasp. What’s inside the Viewty II? Get all the details after the break!

The Viewty II (ok, GC900 but seriously Viewty II sounds better doesn’t it?) will come with the 3D S-Class Interface – as seen on the LG Arena – that lets you flick around a 3D ‘cube’ where each face holds a different home screen.

The Viewty II will also be fitted with an 8 megapixel camera with a Xenon flash and software face recognition, tracking and image stabilization. There will also be manual and auto-focusing on offer, just like the original Viewty. The shutter is also reported to support ISO 1600 ‘film speed’, making it as sensitive to light as a proper digital camera.

Slow-mo and full speed video can be captured via the camera and the phone will record to DivX. Inside, it’ll hold storage up to 32GB.

Physically the Viewty II is said to resemble the LG Secret with the numeric keypad removed. We are hoping LG goes for some varied colours this time around – the none-more-black approach has been done to death in recent months. Stay tuned for more details as we get them
