An OLED Eee PC netbook could be in the works, and that’s straight from the Asus head honcho himself! Find out what we know about the next-gen netbook after the break!
Asus has been busy at CeBIT, dropping Dual Panel concepts, 1TB SSD laptops and redesigned Eee PC models left, right and centre. But the next Eee PC could sport an OLED screen for stunning colour and an ultra-skinny design.
That’s not idle tittle tattle either, Asus chairman Jonney Shih has just said that Asus is considering an OLED Eee PC!
Shih didn’t give any further details, though he did reiterate that Asus will focus on 10 inch Eee PC models, which suggests to us that an OLED Eee PC would be around this size.
We love the idea of an OLD Eee PC with a vibrant screen, high resolution, skinny size and low power consumption, but given the rather large pricetag on the first commercial OLED TV we’re not entirely sure an OLED Eee PC would be in keeping with the whole cheap and affordable Eee ethos.
