The Eee Keyboard could be released as soon as May, according to Asus bosses. Get all the details on when we’ll be seeing Asus’s wireless media centre in a keyboard after the jump!
Asus Chairman Jonney Shih has just announced at CeBIT that the Eee Keyboard wireless computer and keypad-in-on revealed at CES last month will make it to shops as early as May, or June at the latest.
Even better news about the Eee Keyboard followed however: Asus CEO Jerry Shen confirmed that two versions of the Eee Keyboard will be sold, one with wires and one without.
The wired, and we imagine restricted, Eee Keyboard will retail for around £285, while a wireless version could cost between that and £430. Bargain, especially considering we were told at CES that it would use wireless HDMI to send HD images to TVs around the house.
Exact launch details for the Eee Keyboard are yet to be confirmed, but this is from Asus top brass, so it’s more than a little promising. We’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, have a gawp at our photos of the Eee Keyboard below.
