The Blood red Xbox 360 Elite is here! Following the rumours, some more rumours, and an official announcement, Microsoft has ticked another box on our checklist: the limited edition blood red Xbox 360 Elite is coming to Europe. It’ll be available from March 13th – the same day as Resident Evil 5 drops – and should cost the same as a normal Xbox 360 Elite pack.

In acknowledgment of the fact that anyone who loved Resident Evil 4 might well have already got on board with this whole next-gen games console idea, Microsoft is going to be selling the blood red Xbox 360 Elite alongside a special blood red Play and Charge controller kit, which should be great for persuading your other half to assume the role of Sheva in local co-op mode.

It’s a shame the blood red Xbox 360 Elite didn’t make it to our shelves last month though, it would have made a great Valentine’s day gift. You missed a trick there, Microsoft.

The blood red Play and Charge Kit will set you back £39.99, while the limited edition blood red Xbox 360 Elite will go for around £229.99.

Out March 13 | £229 | Xbox

That’s all well and nice, but where are the games Microsoft? I don’t see a single title in 2009 on the XBox that interests me, yet I see plenty on PS3…
