The new GE digital camera range packs new panorama shot technology

GE has just unveiled its new digital camera range for 2009 at the PMA tradeshow in Las Vegas. Cream of the crop is the GE E1225W, but all of them pack GE’s new Pan-Capture Panorama technology, letting you lace together panoramic shots quickly and easily. All the details on the new GE compact digital camera range, and the GE E1225W after the jump.

GE has just whipped the covers off nine new digital camera models, including the 9MP GE A950, the 11MP GE A1150, the 12MP GE A1250 and GE E1255W, and the top of the line GE E1250TW. All of the GE camera range pack a 5x optical zoom, while the E1255W comes with a 28mm wide angle lens and the E1250TW sports HDMI output.

Best of all though, the entire new GE digital camera range comes with a new Pan-Capture Panorama feature. Unlike panorama systems which stitch photos shot by shot, GE’s Pan-Capture Panorama feature lets you pan the camera across the scene while the camera captures shots automatically, works out where the overlap lies and puts it all together. Ace for scenic vistas.

The whole GE range is heading to the UK from April. Prices are yet to be confirmed but we’re chasing GE for more details so stay tuned.
