The Kindle 3 could be packing an A4 sized touchscreen when it arrives later this year, according to new reports. Slow down Amazon, let’s get a Kindle 2 e-reader in the UK first before we move onto the Kindle 3!

According to insiders speaking to DigiTimes, the Kindle 3 will be much larger (8.5 x 11 inches), with touchscreen capabilities, although since the sources were anonymous, it’s tricky to gauge how reliable they are.

If the Kindle 3 does come with a bigger, touchscreen display, it’ll be great news for magazines and newspapers, and should mean viewing text alongside images will be more comfortable on the Kindle 3.

So, what do you reckon? Is Amazon getting ahead of its self? What would you like to see in the Kindle 3? Your thoughts below!

An A4 touchscreen not withstanding, it’s still rather ugly! I can’t help but think of the flexible colour screens as seen in “Minority Report” – loose the ugly frame and we might be onto something!
