Acer could be ditching the mouse for a Wiimote style wireless controller with its latest product – a leaked image shows a PC that’s gunning for the motion sensor skills of the Nintendo Wii. Find out what on earth Acer is thinking after the break.
There have been rumours of Acer making a games console for sometime now, but this latest leaked image is serious fuel for the flames: if it’s real, it looks like Acer is making a Wii style PC with a Wiimote like controller for playing PC games in the living room, Redknapp style!
It’s essentially a small form machine like the Asus Eee Box, only with enough graphical power to handle some of the latest games. How PC games will pan out with Wiimote like motion sensor controls is anybody’s guess.
But is the Acer Wiimote for real? The idea looks legit to us, even if that leaked image is a bit cobbled together, and let’s not forget Acer has been dabbling in other new markets too, like smartphones. Acer hasn’t confirmed anything but as always, we’ll keep you posted.
