The LG Watch Phone that made us all go Oooh when it appeared at CES last year has been tentatively scheduled for a 2009 release via Orange in the UK. We are still no closer to a date that ’2009′ but according to Mobile Today the UK price may have been settled on, and it is a whopper.
The LG Watch Phone – now apparently called the LG GD910 – is a seriously swish bit of electronics and probably the first watch phone that anyone would actually go out of their way to wear. So swich, in fact, that Orange reckons it can get away with charging £1000 for the privilege of owning one.
Yup, that’s one thousand of your English pounds.
You willneed to pay top whack to get the LG Watch Phone to use with an existing SIM, but doubtless Orange will announce lower prices to go with various contracts. Either way, though, you are unlikely to be sporting the LG Watch Phone for less than £500 and a monthly fee towards the upper end of Orange’s scale.
