The Apple TV software has just been updated, but anyone with Boxee installed onto Apple TV had better watch out: the update automatically removes Boxee!
Apple has just rolled out an Apple TV update, bringing the software on the set top box up to version 2.3.1. But anyone who hacked the Boxee media centre on to their Apple TV had better act fast: unless you’ve disabled auto-updates, the Apple TV software update removes it without asking! Boxee has never had a better reason to launch its own Boxee device.
We’re still scouting around to see what else the Apple TV update does – for some reason, Apple doesn’t provided a list of changes or improvements for it – but if you’ve found anything else new, be sure to let us know!
