Braid, the critically acclaimed time-bending platform game for the Xbox 360, will finally get a PC release at the end of next month, developer Number None has announced.
Braid appeared on Xbox Live Arcade last year to the sound of much trumpeting in the games press, who were mainly impressed with its clever level design and decptively retro atmosphere that hid some groundbreaking gaming.
The product of games auteur Jonathon Blow, Braid had a minimal budget – raised almost entirely from Blow’s own savings – but managed to pip other ‘pro’ games to the top of many people’s best of 2008 lists.
Stardock will be selling the game via its Imulse downloadable service for around $19.95. If you get in with a pre-order now, though, the game will cost a mere $14.95.
