The Sony VAIO P will get instant on technology, letting you switch on and surf without having to wait for Windows Vista to load. Details after the break.
We’ve taken the Sony VAIO P “not a netbook” ultra portable for a spin already, and while it’s ace, one of our reservations was bloated operating system Windows Vista. Thank to Corel though, you’ll now be able to lift the lid and get to work straight away with its Instant On technology.
It’s a fantastic idea – Corel’s technology loads up only the key apps you’ll need – web browser, email, media player, IM client – so you don’t have to go and make a cup of tea while you wait to log in.
The Sony VAIO P with Instant On built in is already shipping in Japan, but we’ll be chasing to find out if the high spec UK version of the Sony VAIO P will be getting it, so stay tuned.
