UPDATE: We’ve just put a whole gallery of CoPilot Live on Android shots in. Check them out after the jump.
CoPilot Live just broke cover on Android. We’ve already spotted CoPilot Live running on the iPhone, but since Apple’s dragging its heels on allowing full-blown satnav software on its handset, it’s great news that owners of the T-Mobile G1 and HTC Magic will soon be able to navigate properly. You never know, maybe it’ll chivvy Apple along too.
The software offers proper satnav features, including 2D and 3D maps, turn by turn directions and traffic alerts. Since it’s CoPilot Live, you can also use online features, such as allowing friends to track your location, or send directions straight to your phone.
The software was shown off in the flesh at Mobile World Congress this week, and since the Android Marketplace now accepts paid-for apps, we’ll expect to see it landing on a T-Mobile G1 or HTC Magic very, very soon.
