Samsung just launched a slew of new compact cameras to help break our diet of mobiles, mobiles and more mobiles today. Zoom in on the new Samsung camera range after the jump.
Top of the range is the Samsung IT100 compact camera: a 12 megapixel sensor, 5x optical zoom and face detection are nothing special, but the 28mm wide angle shooter also comes with HD movie capture capability, so you can ditch the dedicated camcorder.
Samsung has also just wheeled out two more mid range compact cameras, the Samsung PL50 and PL65, boasting 10 and 12MP sensors respectively. Face detection is included but the real standout here is “Frame guide”, which will let you take a ghost template of your desired shot for the photographer to line up with – perfect if you want to get in the picture on holiday.
Lastly, we’ve got the budget entry Samsung ES15, offering a 3x zoom and 10 megapixels of goodness for just £80. And yes, we’re aware it looks like an iPod circa 2002.
The whole range is out in shops from April, with the IT100 coming in at £229 and the PL50 and PL65 at £129 and £179.
