Rubik’s Cube just became Rubik’s TouchCube – presenting the world’s most fiendish twisting toy, now with touchscreen tiles!
Mobile World Congress isn’t the only convention going on right now: over at the New York Toy Fair, the Rubik’s TouchCube has been twisting up a storm.
Ditching the stickers and rotating tiers of the original Rubik’s Cube, the Rubik’s TouchCube uses an accelerometer and touch sensor technology to move the coloured squares around as you would the original.
And because Dr Rubik knows it’s insanely difficult, you can even ask for a hint or straight solution, and it’s all topped off with old school “sound effects”. Yes. Really.
The only problem we’re seeing is an electric Rubik’s Cube seems far more likely to break when hurled at a wall in frustration. Rest assured we’ll be trying to grab one of these ASAP.
