The LG KS360 first appeared last summer as one of a string of hopeful ‘iPhone Killers’. Last time we checked, the iPhone remained un-killed, but LG is hoping for another bite of the cherry as the KS360 is relaunched – this time as an Android handset.
Android Invasion! Everything you need to know about Android phones
The LG KS360 was launched as a possible iPhone competitor with a colourful slide-out keyboard but little else of real note. LG must have found a load of them at the back of the warehouse, as it has now decided to relaunch the handset running Google’s Android operating system.
The specs of the LG KS360 are largely unchanged from its 2008 release – 2 megapixel camera, slide-out QWERTY keyboard (in garish colours, we recall) and a touchscreen. The Android LG KS360 will now support 3G, however.
The LG KS360 is only the first of ‘several’ new Android phones that LG will be rolling out this year. No word on whether they will also be recycled older phones or if this is just a one off.
