The Samsung OmniaHD is a curious beast. What looks like another smartphone is actually hiding a fantastic secret: it can record video in 720p. Yep, you read that right. It’s a HD camcorder disguised as a phone. Get up close and see our hands-on photos!
As well as shooting 720p HD video, the Samsung OmniaHD will show off videos a treat. OK, so it won’t show them in full HD, but its 3.7 inch screen does make them look luscious.
For the full resolution, you’ll need to hook the OmniaHD up to a TV, but that’s easily done, and ushers better-than-DVD video out of the handset in a jiffy.
Still shots are captured at 8 megapixels, and the OmniaHD also has Samsung’s new TouchWiz interface, with widgets, haptics and fancy visual effects galore.
