The Samsung Beat DJ phone will divide the nation. Mark our words. On one hand, it’s a clever music phone with an interesting twist on simply playing MP3s. On the other, it’s a noise-generating squawk box guaranteed to infuriate the public at large.
Genius, whichever way you slice it. Now come and get a close-up look with our hands-on photos!
The Samsung Beat DJ isn’t tiny, but then again neither is Carl Cox. Still, both make great noises, and you won’t get a restraining order for scratching the Beat DJ.
In case you haven’t guessed by now, the Samsung Beat DJ is a music phone that lets you butcher tracks and add effects. Using a spinning control wheel you navigate your library, add sounds and filters, and ‘scratch’ tracks too.
Is has a microSD card slot, accepting storage up to 16GB, supports Bluetooth stereo and has a proper headphone jack.
The Samsung Beat DJ also has GPS, a 3 megapixel camera and supports DivX or XviD movie playback, so it’s a handy all-rounder. Feast your eyes on it below.
