What a morning! We’ve been snowed under with news from Mobile World Congress, so to try and make sense of all the new phones unleashed today, we’ve rounded them all up here in the lunchtime lowdown. It’s all after the jump!
There’s still more to come at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona today, but it’ll be hard to top what Nokia had to show. As well as two insanely powerful 6000 phones, the Nokia 6710 Navigator and Nokia 6720 Classic, there were two Eseries business blowers: the much anticipated E75 and the unexpected E55 with a Suretype keypad to rival the BlackBerry Pearl. And remember the app store we heard was coming? Yup, it’s here: Ovi Store, and it’s not just for Nseries phones either. We can’t wait.
HTC had its keynote today too, and while there was no sign of the T-Mobile G2 or Android, it did unveil two new phones: the swish HTC Touch Pro2 and HTC Touch Diamond2.
Away from Mobile World Congress, but still in the land of the phones, O2 has just unveiled its own app store. It’d be hard pressed to compete with Ovi Store, but it might just manage it – for one thing, users can get paid to test out news apps on the service, and it’ll even stock Android programs!
Still not enough for you? Get over to the homepage – trust us when we say that there’s a lot more coming today!
