The HTC Touch Pro 2 just had an official unveiling at Mobile World Congress. It’s a step up from the original, but still just as business-minded. It’ll even turn into a high quality speaker phone when flipped over. Get all the details after the break, and expect to see them packed onto boardroom tables this summer.
According to HTC, the new Touch Pro2 is “optimised for touch as well as heavy email use.” That basically means there’s a great big slide-out keyboard, but it’s still a beauty.
Inside there’s GPS, Windows Mobile 6.1 and HTC’s TouchFLO 3D interface. Unfortunately there’s no Wi-Fi, but with HSDPA, it’ll download from the web using 3G in a jiffy.
Up front The Touch Pro2 has a roomy 3.6 inch screen, as well as a touch-sensitive zoom bar. Inside there’s all the usual accellerometers, but with a neat twist: Flip the phone over during a call, and it’ll automatically turn into a high quality speakerphone.
HTC reckons the Touch Pro2 will “turn any location into a conference room.” We take it that means it’s loud, and packed with music files, probably a menace on the bus.
