The Sony Ericsson Idou just knocked our socks off. It’s the world’s first 12 megapixel cameraphone, and looks all set to steal the show at Mobile World Congress this week. Get the juicy details after the jump!
Idou is still a concept name, according to Sony Ericsson, but inside there’s a 12.1 megapixel sensor, touch interface running Symbian Foundation software and a 16:9 widescreen.
According to Sony Ericsson, the Idou will launch by June, although the name will almost certainly be swapped for something else.
It’s not clear what else is under the skin of the Idou, but we’re guessing GPS, Wi-Fi and a significant chunk of memory will be tucked away inside.
