A Lego Phone probably won’t have Apple and Nokia bricking it (ho ho), but as a kids handset or a novelty for nostalgia minded grownups this could be something to build on. (sorry)
The Lego Phone is a product of a recent deal between Danish toymakers Lego and Paris-based telecoms outfit Alcatel. The two companies are developing Lego-branded gizmos such as MP3 players, digital cameras and – of course – the Lego Phone.
A phone might seem like an odd fit for the Lego brand, but the Lego Phone makes more than a few nods in the direction of the building bricks with its bright coloured body and set of different fascias that you can click on to the front to create your own personalised Lego Phone.
Sadly, the fascias seem to be just that – it would be much cooler if you could add different key layouts or media player controls by adding the right brick, but it would obviously make the Lego Phone a bit pricier.
