Econav satnav range pays for itself after 6 months

GPS just got green: the Econav satnav range has been unveiled, which tell you how to drive as well as where, and even pay for themselves in the first six months of use.

The Econav satnav range cuts carbon emissions by 30% and slashes fuel consumption so much that maker Vexia claims it’ll pay for itself after half a year.

All you have to do is tap in your car type, petrol type and number of passengers, and it’ll advise you on gear and acceleration like it was a hippie rally car co-driver.

But it’s a proper GPS too, with 3D view, lane indication, speed camera warning and pedestrian mode all included.

Two models are available, the Econav 350 with 3.5″ touchscreen and the Econav 130 with a bigger 4.3″ screen, and both come with either UK maps, or Europe wide coverage for an extra £100.
