Mac gets on-demand TV from Five

February 11th, 2009

Mac users will now be able to use Five’s online TV service, Demand Five. Apple fans can now get sex, Hitler and shark documentaries whenever they want!

Demand Five, Five’s on-demand web TV service, will now work on Mac and Linux machines after Five released a Flash version for streaming on non-Windows computers.

The service stores shows from the past 30 days, as well as offerings from Five’s back catalogue. Registration is free, but unfortunately, Five’s top US shows such as CSI will cost extra to view.

Out of the terrestrial broadcasters, that leaves just Channel 4 punishing Mac users with Windows only DRM on its 4oD service. So, what are you waiting for C4? You’re supposed to be a public service!
