The Sim2 Solar Series TV with mega contrast Dolby Vision technology was finally made official yesterday, but what would the launch be without plenty of photos of the beautiful, 47 inch Solar Series to boot? Check all the official photos after the jump!
It’s unusual for a TV to get away with laptop white, but Sim2 seems to have done it with the Solar Series. We now know what it’ll look like from the back too, and it seems to be packing some impressive speakers at the very least.
Unfortunately, being stills and everything, these don’t show the screen in moving action, which is the true selling point. We’ve seen Dolby Vision at work for ourselves. It uses multiple LEDs behind the screen and adjusts them locally with the LCD panel in front to create absurd dynamic contrast ratios. The prototype we saw was installed using a two year old screen, so imagine how this one will look.
