What’s better than an Indiana Jones game on the Wii? An Indiana Jones game on the Wii that ships with a smaller, auxilliary Indiana Jones game, that’s what.
The new Indiana Jones game – Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings – not only hasn’t been cancelled but will feature – on the Wii at least – an unlockable copy of the classic Lucasarts point-n-click adventure Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.
Now, we have no idea if the new Indy game is going to be any cop whatsoever – the recent cinematic outing was a serious letdown (the scene with the fridge! oh, good grief.) and it is entirely possible that Dr Jones has lost some of his lustre. Fate of Atlantis, however, is a bona-fide classic and should be a part of any serious gamer’s collection.
Until now the only way Wii owners could play the game was via the homebrew SCUMMVM emulator. Having a legit copy on the Wii has to be a good thing.
