3’s INQ1 phone will get its first software update next month, improving battery life, speeding up the phone and fixing bugs. Read all the details after the jump!

The first INQ1 update, imaginatively called “Update1” will be rolled out in the next three to four weeks. By the end of March, it’ll be in place on all INQ1 handsets and best of all, it’ll be delivered over the air, so there’s no need to hook up to a PC to install it.

The new INQ1 software will fix instability in Windows Live Messenger, pre-cache Facebook photos, so they load faster, and improve battery life.

Sounds good, but there’s more in store. We’ve heard a next-gen INQ phone will support Twitter too. Read more about INQ’s plans for Twitter and why we’re so excited about them.

Out March | £free | INQ

Good! Overall a mint phone but some buggy software. If this makes it any better i’d advise anyone to buy it at once.

Hope this update works. Used the software with XP a lot. New laptop, Windows 7. Now I can link to phone, backup, restore but cant access messages or files. Please sort it out as I love the phone.
