Ultimate snow survival gadgets!

Have you seeeen the weather?! It’s arctic across every inch of the UK, but that’s no reason to sit indoors. It’s simply an excuse to splurge on some serious snow survival gear, then get out there into the big white world and enjoy the fluffy stuff before it turns brown and sludgy.

OK, not all of these gadgets are serious. We’ve rounded up some of the coolest (sorry) tech for surviving the snow drifts. See it all after the jump!

Hi-Tec Ion Mask boots
These are some seriously techy toe-warmers. They’re impregnated with military grade nano technology that actually repels water, rather than blocking it from getting inside. The result is a shoe that simply cannot get wet or dirty – muck, grime, and the brown slurry that’ll be coating Britain’s streets by the end of the week, simply doesn’t get a look in! See them in action in our video.

Boomers
Earmuff headphones you say? The perfect foil to cold weather, and trudging to the train station to wait for a (delayed) lift into town. Sure, you could just wear a normal pair of earmuffs, and slip headphones underneath, but we’re willing to bet they’d dig into your skull. What’s more, these Boomers don’t look like traditional muffs. They’re much more sleek, and we reckon they’re the business

Porsche Design Sledge
Easily the most stylish sledge you’ll see on the slopes, and probably the most expensive too. Crafted by Porsche, it’s made of aluminium and has a unique folding action to make it easy to carry. If you absolutely have to hurl yourself down a hill, it’s the perfect way to career to an early death, and at least the paramedics will admire your sweet ride as they prize your broken body from its frame!

Swany Bluetooth gloves
Forget rooting around in your pocket to find your phone, or even using fingerless iPhone gloves to operate it. These Bluetooth equipped fingersheaths from Swany keep your hands toasty, and even let you take a call by sticking the thumb in your ear, and speaking into your little finger. Yes. Really.

Power Monkey charger
OK, so you’re venturing outside, but with trains likely to grind to a halt and busses skidding into one another there’s a good chance it’ll take you ages to get back. The last thing you want is a dead phone battery while you’re away, so pack the Power Monkey Explorer and know there’s enough juice stored up to revive your phone, satnav, and even your digital camera.
