Ubisoft’s survival game I Am Alive is.. still alive. One thing it isn’t is ‘on time’. The publisher has just announced that the much-anticipated title will be delayed until next year.
“I Am Alive will require further development time and will now bolster the line-up for 2009-10,” said Ubisoft’s Yves Guillemot.
Until yesterday, Ubisoft was still listing I Am Alive on their release schedule for the early part of this year, so that would seem to be some fairly significant extra development that is required.
The plot of I Am Alive is still to be revealed but the developers have hinted that it puts the player in a survival situation following some kind of natural disaster. Early screen shots and a trailer point to an earthquake hitting the Chicago area, and the player having to deal with natural hazards as well as some human enemies.
