Halo Wars is still some way off a full release, but we’ve had a look at the game already and reckon its new RTS direction isn’t going to upset any Halo fans. But what if, let’s say, you want to enjoy Halo Wars without a 360? Oddly enough, you’re in luck. USAopoly, a company that produces speciality board games, has been licensed to produce a Halo Wars-themed version of Risk.
Risk: Halo Wars features 42 territories and six sectors for you to battle it out over. The 250 playing pieces are also designed to represent the three main factions in the Halo universe – UNSC, Covenant and The Flood.
Arguably, that makes it better than Halo Wars, because the video game doesn’t allow you to play as The Flood. Although Ensemble Studios toyed with the idea at first, it was ultimately rejected due to balancing issues.
The Risk: Halo Wars set is due to land in July, for an estimated $39.99.
