Firefox Mobile looks like it’ll finally be released for Windows Mobile next week, according to internal documents.

According to minutes from internal Mozilla meetings, Firefox Mobile will be launching on Windows Mobile in the first week of February. The notes, left online for the whole world to see clearly state that Firefox Mobile, or Fennec as it’s officially known, will make the leap to Microsoft’s mobile OS next month.

It doesn’t get more blunt than this: “Fennec…Windows Mobile – We are targeting a Milestone release for the first week of February, targeting the HTC Touch Pro.”

So, there you have it! Anyone with a HTC Touch Pro should be able to try out the first real rival to Opera Mini and Opera Mobile very soon, joining the few Nokia N810 owners who have been able to test out the Fennec Alpha already.
