Eh? This might just be a poorly-chosen photo on an online retailer but it looks as though online wholesaler Alibaba.com is selling 100-unit batches of the Shining G8000 – a mobile phone that looks not-unlike the recently shelved Kogan Agora.
The phone’s specs are definitely comparable with what we knew of Kogan’s missing-in-inaction Agora smartphone with wifi, GPS, QVGA screen and web browser. The only thing not mentioned is the Android OS.
Kogan was forced to pull the phone after discussions with Google indicated that the hardware specs may not be compatible with future releases of Android. Could it be that these are the production models being unloaded for those who dont care about future compatibility?
